Building Maintenance/HVAC Technician Job Opportunity:

An educational facility is currently hiring a Building Maintenance/HVAC Technician to ensure optimal functioning of heating, cooling, and air quality systems in the school premises. The role involves maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all school areas.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required for special events and school functions.

Key Responsibilities:**

• Maintain and repair HVAC equipment like heating lines, thermostats, motors, air conditioners, and more
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning filters, lubricating pumps, and tightening belts
• Create job orders, maintain records, establish maintenance schedules, and support energy management systems
• Conduct plumbing repairs and installations
• Conduct daily water analysis to ensure proper water treatment chemical levels
• Assist in maintaining the wastewater treatment plant and swimming pool
• Refer to technical documents to identify necessary repairs
• Assist with landscaping, mowing, and set-up/tear-down tasks for events

Desired Qualifications:

• Ohio Stationary Engineer or Low-Pressure Boiler Operators License required, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Universal Rating - CFC Recovery certification
• Experience with HVAC and Refrigeration Systems, servicing boilers, pumps, and automated DDE Energy Management Systems, as well as system water analysis
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred, with knowledge of ladder and wiring diagrams, and National Electric Code
• Familiarity with building automation systems, schedule lighting, HVAC, doors, and basic electrical knowledge for repairs and installations
• Proficiency in operating various tools such as electric drills, hammers, wrenches, pipe cutters, metal cutters, benders, pressure gauges, and volt meters
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, or crouch for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from sketches, drawings, plans, and blueprints
• Willingness to work overtime as needed for events
