AWS/CES is looking for an Industrial Electrician
Location: Warren, MI
Pay Rate: $32.00 per hour
Shift: all shifts available
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment using safe electrical techniques, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Perform mechanical work as needed to complete assigned tasks and ensure work areas are left clean and safe.
Respond to maintenance requests promptly and prioritize work to minimize downtime.
Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance uptime and extend equipment life.
Complete wiring projects and new installations per electrical documentation and line-ups.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder diagrams; gather materials and complete wiring installations with minimal supervision.
Update prints and schematics, suggest spare parts, and assist with continuous improvement activities.
Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and government regulations related to powered equipment and electrical work.
Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervision or management.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Electrical Journeyman’s license or equivalent experience preferred.
Strong background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems .
Skilled in reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic instruments (AC/DC, low/high voltage).
Experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic.
Knowledge of industrial, mechanical, and electrical codes and safety practices.
Preference will be given to candidates who are open to working either 1st or 3rd shift .
