Role: Lead Solar Installer (Must Have Residential Solar Experience)

Compensation: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, plus overtime

Job Overview

Our client, an established and rapidly growing renewable energy provider, is looking for a Lead Solar Installer to support the company’s growing demand for residential solar installations. This person will be a key member of their solar division in supporting the efficient and timely completion of solar installations. This Lead Solar Installer role is a full-time, permanent position with our client.

Job Responsibilities

• Following all manufacturer guidelines, installing racking and railing equipment, inverters and other electrical equipment, solar modules, and any other mechanical or structural mounting systems for PV arrays
• Completing the electrical wiring of solar arrays and BOS (balance of systems) equipment
• Clearly communicating directions to the installation crew members
• Providing training to less experienced crew members on specific installation techniques using industry best practices
• Communicating effectively with customers and managing customer expectations
• Taking pictures and documenting all work completed and uploading the data to the internal company database
• Ensuring all safety standards are met and adhered to

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• At least 3 years of experience with the installation of residential solar systems
• At least 1 years of experience leading a crew of solar installers
• Best practice knowledge for roofing
• The ability to work at heights and in extreme environments
• The ability to lift heavy materials up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• A valid driver’s license
