Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Madison Down Town 

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

BMOC inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our student housing facilities. This role is vital in ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained living environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general carpentry.- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management, prioritizing urgent issues.- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes, reporting any concerns to management.- Assist with turnover maintenance, preparing units for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and basic repairs.- Maintain inventory of supplies and materials, and assist in ordering as needed.- Collaborate with the housing management team to create a positive living environment for students.- Address minor landscaping and exterior maintenance tasks as necessary.- Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, including repairs and inspections performed.- Be available for on-call duties as needed for emergency repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.- Previous experience in maintenance, particularly in a residential or student housing setting, is preferred.- Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and working in various weather conditions.
