Job Description

SUMMARY

Join Cranmore's Terrain Park crew and have a legendary winter! Terrain Park Rangers maintain all Park elements in the Terrain Parks in an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests. Communicates with guests to educate Park users in Terrain Park and Pipe etiquette. Also maintains and monitors the energy in the Terrain Park through music, color, comradely, fencing, banners, flags and events. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. Both full and part-time positions are available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following. Other duties may be assigned :

  • Responsible for the daily examination and maintenance of all park elements to ensure safety by eliminating hazards to the customers and opening elements that are safe for guest usage.
  • Shoveling, lifting, raking and digging all aspects of Terrain Park construction.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the designated music, fencing, banners, and flags.
  • Keeping signage visible in the parks.
  • Patrolling parks throughout the day educating guests on the Park etiquette and maintaining features.
  • Closing all elements that do not meet safety standards, and perform all end of the day closures of parks and elements.
  • Complete Park Report daily for Park grooming staff.
  • Responsible for filling out the daily Terrain Park logs.
  • Incident reporting as well as aiding ski patrol post-accident.
  • Assisting with set-up, execution, course maintenance, and teardown of all Terrain Park events.
  • Contributes to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of the guests and employees: participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments, maintaining a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
