Welder | Coopersville, MI

Salary Range: $40,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to standards.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting components prior to welding.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components as required.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
• AWS D1.1 or equivalent welding certifications.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Demonstrated experience welding various metals in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with additional metal fabrication techniques (e.g., fitting, grinding, plasma cutting).
• Certified to operate forklifts and/or overhead cranes.
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills for welding equipment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or 5S methodologies.
