Job Description

The North Penn YMCA, Indian Valley Family YMCA branch, 890 Maple Ave., Harleysville PA is seeking a Personal Trainer/Wellness Coach for the following shift:

Evening and Weekend Hours

Personal Trainer Description : Responsible for providing, organizing and instructing all fitness activities for individuals in a safe, enjoyable and positive environment. This position may involve early morning, evening and weekend responsibilities.

Hourly Range: $20-$28

QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires degree in health & Wellness field and/or current Personal training Certification and/or YMCA Strength and Conditioning Certification
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification preferred or completed within 60 days of hire
• Effective Communication; written, oral and through presentations
• Must have strong collaborative work ethic
• Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles

Wellness Coach Description: Under the supervision of our Wellness Director at our Indian Valley Family YMCA, this individual will be trained to help members reach their fitness and wellness goals, assist those in need on the floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the facility. Applicants must be creative, energetic, and have the ability to be positive role models for YMCA adult and youth members.

Hourly Range: $13-$18 an hour

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Requires current CPR, AED and First Aid certification
• Personal Trainer certificate a plus or Kinesiology and/or Public Health Degree (or near completion in either field)
• Effective Communication; written, oral and through presentations
• Must have strong collaborative work ethic
• Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles
